Elizabeth Gerdeman utilizes plaster and watercolor as media for her work to develop a juxtaposition between the monumental and the impermanent. 

The images created in her work contain microcosmic and macrocosmic features.  Her technique captures a moment in time, transforming the dynamic to static using chemical and physical processes.
